W. B. Henning was a British don of ancient Iranian languages and literature, particularly Manichean Sogdianism.. Many of the essays written within are not in English but also German and French and they span from Ossetic vocabulary, the Persian monument in Athens, Old Persian calligraphy, the Avesta and its affects on Hebrew, the Akkadian language and the Avesta (Deutsch) the Sogidan alphabet, Parisian manicheanism fragments (in French), Etymologies (Deutsch) Pahlavian legal terms and Iranian names for the Huns and the such.
